When you’re in a museum, where do you look and what do you see?

 Sometimes a museum building is as interesting as the stories it houses. At Mumbai’s National Museum of Indian Cinema, a Victorian era mansion is the backdrop against which visitors interact with the exhibits, share moments with each other and enjoy the history of filmmaking in India.

Charmed by the heritage building, we turned our attention to the ornate interiors that form such a fascinating scenography for actitvity and play. While everyone was looking at the walls, we found ourselves looking at the floors. Somehow, the Gothic embellishments and Minton floors seem to go unnoticed by everyone else…
